【商品説明】
・播州三木鉋鍛冶、常三郎と利作刃物工房のオリジナル鉋です。
・『常三郎 舞シリーズ』で2番目に人気の鉋です。
・常三郎鉋の『穴の鉋』と同じ材質です。

【鋼（青紙1号鍛造古鋼）の特徴】
・昭和中期の木炭還元による青紙1号鋼と、明治中期の希少な英国製錬鉄を鍛接・鍛造した鉋です。
・旧国鉄の鉄橋に使われていた錬鉄には、当時のリベット穴をそのまま残しました。素材が歩んだ歴史を、鉋刃の表情に感じられる一丁です。
・昭和20年代、初代常三郎が特注で規格した一分厚の鋼を用いています。
・鍛造によって延ばすことで不純物が抜け、粘りを増した鋼。研ぎやすさと、長く続く切れ味が特長です。
・中堅材から柔木に適し、やわらかな切れ味と永切れを兼ね備えた、調和の取れた鉋です。

【PRODUCT DETAILS】
・An original Japanese hand plane created in collaboration between Banshu-Miki plane blacksmith Tsunesaburo and Risaku Hamono Kobo.
・The second most popular model in Tsunesaburo’s “Mai Series.”
・The blade is made from the same materials used in Tsunesaburo’s “Ana no Kanna” Japanese plane.

【FORGED VINTAGE AOGAMI NO. 1 STEEL FEATURES】
・This Japanese plane combines mid-Showa-era charcoal-reduced Aogami No. 1 steel with rare British wrought iron dating from the mid-Meiji era, carefully forge-welded and forged together.
・The wrought iron was recovered from a former Japanese National Railways bridge, and its original rivet hole has been intentionally preserved. This distinctive feature allows the history of the material to remain visible in the character of the plane blade.
・The blade uses specially specified steel approximately 1-bu thick, originally commissioned by the first-generation Tsunesaburo during the late 1940s and early 1950s.
・As the steel is drawn out through forging, impurities are reduced and its resilience is enhanced. It is characterized by ease of sharpening and long-lasting edge retention.
・Well suited to medium-density and soft woods, this finely balanced Japanese plane combines a smooth, gentle cutting feel with excellent edge retention.
