【商品説明】
・コテ鑿（鏝鑿）は、首元が左官鏝のように立ち上がった独特の形状から、その名が付けられた仕上げ用の鑿です。
・首元に段差があることで、柄や手が加工面に当たりにくく、一般的な鑿では刃を水平に入れにくい箇所にも使用できます。
・深い溝や長い溝、突き止まり溝、ほぞ穴などの底面を平らに整える仕上げ作業に適しています。
・くぼんだ部分や狭い箇所の奥まで刃を届かせやすく、底面を正確に仕上げる際に重宝する鑿です。

【鍛冶屋経歴】
■永桶和良氏は、高校卒業と同時に鍛冶職人の道へ進みました。
■初代は、鑿や鉋などを手掛ける名人として知られた「永弘」から分家し、「菊弘丸」の名で工房を開きました。
■三代目となる永桶和良氏は、二代目より三条鍛冶としての精神と技術を受け継ぎ、研鑽を重ねました。
■鋼と軟鉄の接合不良を抑え、鋭い切れ味と優れた長切れを目指して製作される鑿や鉋には、かつて製法特許を有した「菊弘丸」の技術と伝統が受け継がれています。

【PRODUCT DETAILS】
・The Kote-Nomi is a finishing chisel named for its distinctive raised neck, which resembles the shape of a traditional Japanese plasterer's trowel.
・The offset neck keeps the handle and the user's hand clear of the work surface, allowing the blade to reach areas where a conventional straight chisel cannot be positioned flat.
・It is particularly suitable for flattening and finishing the bottoms of deep grooves, long grooves, stopped grooves, and mortises.
・Its distinctive shape makes it easier to reach into recessed or confined areas and precisely finish the bottom surface.

【BLACKSMITH'S CAREER】
■Kazuyoshi Nagaoke entered the blacksmithing trade immediately after graduating from high school.
■The first-generation Kikuhiromaru separated from Nagahiro, a master craftsman renowned for making chisels and Japanese planes, and established an independent workshop under the Kikuhiromaru name.
■The third-generation craftsman received extensive training from the second generation, inheriting both the spirit and techniques of traditional Sanjo blacksmithing.
■By carefully controlling the forge-welded bond between the steel and soft iron, Kikuhiromaru continues to produce chisels and Japanese planes noted for their sharp cutting performance and edge retention. These tools carry forward the tradition of a brand that once held a manufacturing patent.
