【製品詳細】
・正行作の玄能の中でも上位に位置する、高価な鋼付玄能です。
・打面に鋼が鍛接されており、使用時の振動が手に伝わりにくく、疲れにくいといわれています。
・従来の「正行」の刻印ではなく、「道心斎正行」の銘がタガネによって手切りされています。
・通常の黒仕上げとは異なり、全体に鑢目を残した銀色の仕上がりです。通常品よりも手間をかけて仕上げられています。

【職人経歴】
■古式鍛錬所の名工・馬場正行氏。昭和の名工・長谷川幸三郎氏のもとで修業し、この道50年。
■「道心斎正行（どうしんさいまさつら）」銘で作られる玄翁は、「世界の職人が憧れる官能的玄翁」と評されています。（燕三条 工場の祭典より）
■純度の低い鉄も、叩いて鍛え上げることで味わいが生まれると語り、工場内には戦艦陸奥の鎖、約100年前の鉄橋材、約300年前の和釘などが置かれています。
■胴の両端に鋼を鍛接し、叩きながら丸め込むことで成形されています。
■「一万個作ってもサイズはすべて同じ」と、職人として当然のことのように語ります。「玄翁は女性だ」「金儲けの方法はいくらでもある」としながらも、「生き方としてこの道を選んだ」という名工は、今も自らを鍛え続けています。

【PRODUCT DETAILS】
・This forge-welded steel-faced Genno is one of the higher-grade and more valuable models among Masatsura's hammer heads.
・The striking faces are made from forge-welded steel. This construction is said to reduce vibration transmitted to the hand, helping to minimize fatigue during use.
・Instead of the former stamped “Masatsura” mark, this model bears the full “Doshinsai Masatsura” signature, individually hand-cut with a chisel.
・Unlike the standard black finish, the entire hammer head has a silver-colored file finish with visible file marks. This labor-intensive finish requires more work than the standard version.

【CRAFTSMAN PROFILE】
■Masayuki Baba is a master blacksmith of Koshiki Tanrensho with approximately 50 years of experience. He trained under Kozaburo Hasegawa, a renowned master craftsman of the Showa era.
■His Genno hammers, bearing the smith name “Doshinsai Masatsura,” have been described as “sensuous Genno hammers admired by craftspeople around the world” by the Tsubame-Sanjo Factory Festival.
■Baba believes that even iron of lower purity develops unique character when repeatedly forged and refined. His workshop contains historic materials such as anchor chain from the Japanese battleship Mutsu, iron from a century-old bridge, and Japanese nails dating back approximately 300 years.
■Steel is forge-welded to both ends of the central body, then hammered and shaped into the finished form.
■Baba states that “even after making ten thousand pieces, every one should be the same size,” regarding such precision as a natural responsibility of a craftsman. Describing a Genno as feminine in character, he says that although “there are countless ways to make money,” he chose this path as a way of life and continues to refine both his craft and himself.
